You’ve probably heard the saying, “Failure is not fatal if you take the right failures.” While I’m not quite sure how true that is, it does seem to be a good way to get yourself motivated.

The idea here is to look at failure as a way for you to learn and improve your skills. You can’t grow if you don’t make mistakes and learn from them!

When we start striving for something and begin to believe that we can achieve it, we can start making excuses before we even begin.

But when we fail, we learn what needs to change in our lives so that we can succeed next time around. When you fail at something, you’re forced to think about what’s wrong with your plan, or with your approach to achieving whatever goal you have set out for yourself.

Don’t aim for quick fixes or short-cuts, especially when it comes to achieving your dreams and goals


One of the biggest mistakes people make when they’re trying to achieve their goals and dreams is that they’re always looking for quick fixes or shortcuts.

You see, there’s a difference between shortcuts and shortcuts. A shortcut is a quick fix, something that will get you from point A to point B in the shortest amount of time possible. Motivation and inspiration are two words that are often used interchangeably. But there’s a big difference between the two. And while they might look similar at first glance, they are very different in their capabilities to help you achieve your goals. Let us look at why motivation and inspiration play such important roles in your life and what you can do to bring out one more frequently or maximize the motivational benefits when you choose to use them.

What is an inspiration? 

A feeling that ignites your imagination and encourages action. When you feel inspired, it’s like a light bulb going off in your head. You have this amazing idea that you can’t wait to execute!

When you experience inspiration, it occurs suddenly, often out of nowhere. It’s great when things come to you easily and naturally — like seeing something that inspires you or reading something that makes you want to reach out and touch someone! Inspiration can be motivating in its own right, but it’s not always immediate or easy to achieve.

For example, While writing your first novel, you may feel inspired by all the great authors who have come before you. You’ll wonder if there’s anything left for you to do in this field and feel that you’re starting with more knowledge than many others who’ve done it before you.

What is motivation?

An internal drive that compels you to take action. Motivation is often elusive. If you’re waiting for motivation to strike, you may be waiting a long time – and in the meantime, you could miss out on some awesome opportunities.

But motivation can be hard to come by, especially in today’s fast-paced world where work deadlines are looming, and your inbox keeps filling up with new tasks.

Motivation drives us forward when we’re not inspired by anything external. This internal drive compels us to take action when we want to do something new or exciting. We have no choice but to try new things because our motivation drives us to achieve something we didn’t think we could do before.

What’s the difference between inspiration and motivation?

The difference between inspiration and motivation is the source of the feelings. Inspiration comes from within; motivation comes from outside.

If you have an inspirational idea, your brain tries to help you find solutions or ways out of a situation. You will think about it a lot, but you won’t be able to find any solutions yourself because they are still new in your mind and need time to develop.

But if you have a motivational idea, someone else has already found it through experiments or experience. It can help us solve problems more quickly using what we have already proved effectively.

However, sometimes we feel like we are doing nothing just because we don’t know the best option now! We don’t know where to start with our goals or how exactly we should go about achieving them. That’s why sometimes it feels better when we feel inspired by something than when motivated by someone else’s ideas or stories about other people’s achievements.

In other words, motivation is “what”, and inspiration is “why.” If someone asks you, “Why are you doing this?” then they want an answer in terms of motivation (what) rather than inspiration (why).

How do you know whether you’re inspired or motivated? 

This is a question that I ask myself many times, and one of the most common answers is “it depends”. The truth is that there are no clear, definitive ways to tell the difference between inspiration and motivation.

Inspiration comes first; motivation follows. It does not mean that motivation does not come first in some circumstances, only that it doesn’t always come first in others. For example, your motivation will likely follow suit if you are working on a new project and find yourself inspired by it. But your motivation will likely be lacking if you are at work and do not feel inspired by your job.

The same goes for inspiration and motivation at home. If your family life is very hectic, you may be less motivated to get out of bed in the morning and go to work, even if there are fun things planned for the day ahead. On the other hand, if your family life is peaceful, then your motivation may be high because everything seems so easy!

Motivation is a spark.

Motivation is a spark. It’s an initial spark that can ignite a fire in your mind and guide you to accomplish your goals. Motivation is not an end in itself; it’s a means to an end. It for its own sake is like drinking alcohol for its own sake—it doesn’t lead to anything good.

Motivation can come from many places: the desire to be successful, the desire to be happy, the desire to help others, etc. People often get motivation by things other than money or power but still need money or power to accomplish their goals. So there are two types of motivation: intrinsic and extrinsic. Intrinsic motivation is self-generated; extrinsic motivation comes from outside sources, such as money or power.

Motivation is a powerful force that can lead to success or failure. You have to know how to use it properly to achieve success, but you also need to know when not to use it to avoid failure.

Inspiration is a flame.

Inspiration is a flame. It is the fire that burns in us. It is the fuel of motivation. Motivation keeps us going, moving forward and doing what it takes to make our dreams come true.

Inspiration is like a spark that lights a fire and motivates you to do something. Motivation provides the energy needed to keep that fire burning.


Which is better for your life goals?

I believe inspiration is better for your life goals than motivational reasons. Inspiration pushes you to take action because it makes you want to succeed in your own life. Motivation can be helpful for beginners who don’t know what they’re doing. Still, it isn’t as motivating as inspiration because it lacks the feeling of accomplishment that comes from seeing yourself accomplish something difficult.

But ask yourself which one you should choose. Well, that depends on what’s more important to you now – doing things because they make your heart happy or doing things because they will make your life better?

For some people, motivation is better at boosting productivity than inspiration.

For some people, motivation is better at boosting productivity than inspiration. They have a greater chance of following through on their goals if they’re motivated by a specific goal or reward. However, others find that inspiration is more effective in getting them to do what they want because it gives them more of an emotional connection with the task.

The research shows that motivation is about as powerful as inspiration for getting us going on a new project. In other words, either one will do the trick when it comes down to it.

But maybe your brain doesn’t work that way. Maybe your motivation feels stronger than your inspiration — and you want to know why. Here’s what science has to say about this age-old question:

For me, inspiration only happens when I am permitted to be creative. So, whenever I feel uninspired, I permit myself to be creative. This means I let myself be vulnerable. It means I change my mind. It means I forgive myself. It means I let go of my limitations.

When you’re overwhelmed, it’s easy to be stuck in the past or the future. What you need is a bit of inspiration to get you back to the present moment, where everything feels more manageable.
